Fun Info: The east-west roads in downtown Phoenix are named after Presidents, in the order of which they assumed office, sort of. This system quickly fell apart as some presidents shared the same last names (Adams) or were simply forgotten (sorry Grover Cleveland). The Garfield Neighborhood was named after the 20th US President, James A. Garfield. Before his short lived presidency, he was a teacher, lawyer, Union general during the Civil War, and served nine terms as a US Representative for Ohio.

The Garfield Espresso is named after the neighborhood in Downtown Phoenix where we roast and operate, which was subsequently named after President James A. Garfield.
